Well it's finally warm here, tits to that!  And I managed to get through the first holiday with my Sarge, it was not fun but I did it.  Someone told me the "first" everything is the hardest.  Sounds logical but then love is not logical, is it?  And I lost at canasta and poker but at least I was busy and with friends and had a bit of fun so no problem. We finally got done yesterday after eight hours.  Part of it was the doctor, his surgery before Sarge ran long but the rest of it was just waiting and more waiting and then do it and then wait some more.  I was a very long day but hopefully it will help.  We go see the doctor on Monday. I had every intention of visiting blogs while I waited but it didn't happen, I'll get around as soon as I can.

So the end of the week is upon us and today I have physical therapy.  It's not my only activity today.  First I have to go back to the doctor that did the shots in my back for my follow up visit.  I feel like I have been going full speed this whole week and I am really tired.  In fact I have not had a single nap the  entire week, what's up with that?  I need one day with no activities at all.

Today Sarge is going to the hospital to have the drain removed.  I don't know why but it is something they are going to put him to sleep to do.  I remember when I had the tubes taken out of my side when I had my lung removed and the doctor yanked them out, it didn't hurt either.  I suppose there must be more to it than that.  Anyway he is most anxious to have it gone, it is really bothering him.

So okay Sarge had his pet scan yesterday and we saw Dr. Green after and he already had the results.  There is no growth or new cancer, yippee!  There are some other health issues going on, one being he has some pneumonia.  He is on antibiotics now and will see Dr. Wacks soon.  Hopefully he will not have to go into the hospital.  So that is why he was so puny on the ship.  We really had no idea

Carnival cakes are wonderful.  A lovely blogger sent me one to the cabin too.  We all enjoyed it, it was so delicious, everyone said the same thing.  We even sang happy birthday to Sarge with it! Well surprise of all surprises, the WalMart was not bad at all, in fact it was actually less crowded than normal and we were able to get everything on the list without incident.  And lunch was lovely as well, completely enjoyable.  Chef made us some yummy fish too.  We (well the duck) got the suitcases out of storage and they are now in the dining room (actually on the table!) ready to be packed

Today I am subbing in the canasta game again.  They are really nice gals.  Sarge is doing much better now, the prednisone is helping and he can breathe now too.  He was so miserable but it's such a relief for him to be so improved. Well yesterday was a pretty good day.  First of all Sarge talked with Dr. Green and he is back on prednisone and feeling better already.  Next I had to go see Dr. Wacks because my blood pressure was really low and guess what?  I have now lost 21 pounds (84 sticks of butter!) and he said my medication is too high now so he cut it in half.  He also was VERY happy with the weight loss and told me I
