Tuesday in paradise...

The USS John C. Stennis comes home to San Diego.  Welcome home Aero!  It's been a long deployment and I know how happy this makes Ayla.  This photo is stolen from courtesy of the US Navy.

Gosh all my golfer friends are all excited about the upcoming Honda Classic.  It must be a big deal although I wouldn't know.  To me the big deal is the Stennis coming home.

I heard that orange is the in color now.  I love orange and have a good bit of it already.  It's a good thing since I'm still on shopping ban.  I have one more month to go then lookout.  Kidding, I really don't need anything.

So I got the $255.00 Social Security death benefit.  I still haven't decided what to do with it.  Something that Sarge would love though, it has to be that.  Something that matters.

So last night I went to watch Big Bang Theory and guess what?  It was cancelled for NASCAR.  Buggers.  Let's all watch cars drive in a circle, yeah, that's what I want to do.  Some of you might like this but not me.  But then I don't like golf either.  Or football.  Or basketball.  Or bowling.  Or baseball.   Or soccer.  Or polo.  Or boxing.  Or wrestling.  Did I forget anything?  I'd rather watch grass grow.  But that's just me.

Hey that reminds me, you know what I like?  Well besides cake that is?  Ham.  And not that girly spiral sliced sickley sweet ham either.  Real ham, thick sliced with a side of potato salad and collard greens.  Now that's a meal y'all.  I must be hungry.  I'm getting pretty tired of chicken breasts, baked potatoes, and steamer veggies.  Not that I don't like that, I do.  I'm just a bit tired of it and wanting something good.  I keep telling myself nothing tastes as good as thin feels but sometimes my brain gets to going it's own way without me.

Guess I'll stop now and go get my sugar free jello.  Oh yum...  Y'all have a lovely Tuesday.  Me too.

Do you like red -eye gravy, too? I like ham any way I can get it.
I'm very happy Ayla's hubby is home! The way the cavemen are carrying on over there I'd like to have them all home, and let them have their stupid old cat box back!
I eat a lot of chicken, too. At least there are a zillion things to do to them to change them up.
Hugs and blessings...

I do like Nascar every once in a while, but I prefer to be there, like we did a few years ago while living in Florida. I too love ham but everything here is frozen CRAP...It tastes it too and we only have the spiral stuff, which I like from time to time. I have to be honest, I started eating Sugar Free Jello like 8 years ago and I love it! have a wonderful day, hugs :)

I use to love NASCAR racing, but they lost me. It's all about the money and ego now Bugger. Although I do still watch a few races. I did watch a few minutes last night.

Fish! Chicken and fish are my favorites. And so many kinds of fish to choose from, too. Although today is my friend Barbara's birthday and we're all going to Olive Garden. Pasta. Now you're talking!

Oh, look. Google changed to comment form thingy.

Have a lovely day. I'm sure gonna try.

big hugs xoxo

I am not real sure that tastes vs feels theory holds crystal light, maybe cause I have never been thin, who knows. I vote for cake... and ham.

Welcome home, Aero!
I allow myself one day a week when I can pig out what I want. It's just a small portion. Then I'm good the rest of the week :)
Hugs from Ohio,
I.

Welcome home to Aero! Ayla must be so happy to have him home, safe and sound!

Sounds like your taste buds are in the mood for something new.

Once a week (usually Saturday or Sunday) - at lunch - I have ONE totally fattening or sugar-filled item.
Then back to the healthy eating for the rest of the week
That seems to dissolve any resentment, keep me staisfied and yet on track.

Sports bores me to tears unless I am actually AT a football, basketball or hocley game. Then I enjoy the action, but once a year is enough.

((hugs))

I'd rather watch grass grow. Bee you rock me. I couldn't stop laughing after reading that line. How about tiddly winks? Ha,ha,ha.

Today I go and see my doctor. Hopefully, he'll fix me up. Basically I've been sick for over 2 months here and there. I hate it. This crazy winter is the problem

Have a great day my wonderful friend.

I myself prefer fresh ham to smoked.

You live down there in seafood paradise...perhaps it's time to change your entree.

Lastly, welcome home to Aero. San Diego is a beautiful port that must look mighty spectacular to all aboard the USS John C. Stennis.

Yay for Aero and Ayla! Thanks to those guys and gals on the Stennis forfor their service and keeping us safe. I know that they were in some sticky stuff over there...

Happy homecoming!!!!!

Have you tried pork tenderloin?

I love the color orange. You can't help but look at it and smile. It's a happy color!

Way to go on Aero coming home to Ayla. Awesome. It's a wonderful thing.

I'm not much for ham. Love pork, but ham just doesn't do it for me. Bacon yes, sausage yes, ham not so much.

I'm not into sports either so we're both on the same page on this.

Have a terrific day. Big hugs. :)

Catching up.

Happy to join in saying "Welcome home, Aero."

But I liked the twins stories from before.

And, sadly, I can relate to your troubles with the government checks. And the G follows rules that no one else does... or can. And then only sometimes. Yes, save everything. Write copious notes of all telephone conversations. Save these, too. Get names. ID numbers.

And it still might not be enough.

But... you see... it's all in our best interests.

Always.

Your're right about orange being the 'it' color - except now they're calling it 'tangerine'. It does look great with tourquoise jewelry though!

Welcome Home, Aero !

I like ham but really don't eat lots of "cured" meats, heath reasons.
I rather like the spiral ham but haven't had one for years.
Maybe you know this but I had a taste of a "Virgina Ham" (?) that had a very wonderful and unusual flavor it was smoked or something for a long time... but anyways it was absolutely wonderful.
Gosh now I am hungry !

cheers, parsnip

So happy that Aero is home!!

I don't usually watch the race, but so much was going on last night I couldn't go to bed until it was finished. That spectacular fire !! Never saw anything like it.

I'm cooking collards today with country ham. Hope it is good.

(((hugs)))

The Stennis coming home is indeed big news, and wonderful news at that! Welcome home Aero, and I add my thanks to the rest.
I'm with you on telling my brain I'd rather be thin than eat. Some days that works better than others. Today someone brought dark chocolate covered pomegranate seeds to my office and my wish to taste them won that battle. But I didn't snatch the bag and run, so at least I'm not completely desperate!
Hugs!

I'm happy to read that Aero is home, and I'd also like to thank him for his service.

The ham, potato salad, etc. sounds like a filling dinner! We also eat a lot of chicken. It's so plentiful and there are so many ways to prepare it.

I don't watch sports..I'm with you.

Bee, so glad to hear the news about Aero, Bethany was born in San Diego, it's a great duty station. I loved it there.

Do you like your ham with pineapple or cloves. I think I am fine with it plain, or with pineapple.

Have a great Wednesday, just two more work days for me before I cruise. Woo Hoo, I will make sure to give John and extra hug for you and anyone else you want to send one too.

Love and Hugs,

Bobbi
