Well it's the weekend y'all. What about that... hopefully we'll have a nice peaceful one. I made the best vegetables last night. Cut up potatoes, carrots, celery, and onion, added salt and pepper, a tiny bit of oil, and roasted at 425 for an hour. Just delicious. Sarge cleaned his plate!
I have a guy coming over today to install a handicapped bar in Sarge's bathroom. He is having trouble getting out of the shower now. I told him to use Bubbles, my walk-in tub, but he won't. Don't know why. He likes his walk-in shower and there is a bench in there that he sits on.
I found something to do with some jewelry. Big Ed's group (and Bobbi) is doing a silent auction on the bloggers cruise for St. Jude so I can unload send her some stuff. It'll go to a good cause and then I can make some new stuff! Tits to that. I have some platinum gifts I'll include too. Hey the closet is getting trimmed some more!
So that'll be it for today. Hope you have a wonderful Saturday, I know I will!

18 notes:
Those veggies are right up our creek....try adding some butternut squash instead of the potatoes....sooo good! Love the earrings! hugs from the WEST PORTICO P
Love the news about your blood pressure! That's terrific news! Found out mine is high but also found out that my thyroid is kaput, which is the cause of a lot of stuff. I'll finally have insurance again at the end of the year - Yippeee...
I know how you feel about the lost weight. It's such a feeling of accomplishment. I've out on some but that, too, is more than likely because of my dead thyroid (she says with crossed fingers...)
~~~Blessings~~~
Buongiorno!!!
Have a nice and peaceful week end!
I hope...but tomorrow is family reunion...so I think...not too peaceful!!!
I got the same veggies....boiled, today risotto with them!
Big hugs!
I have a general contractor working me up an estimate for my parents walk-in shower. I want a bench, a few bars and a light. Who's bright idea was it to make a shower with NO light? And a handrail on my back door entrance.
And closing in my carport. It can't be all about them, right? :)
Good for you for finding something wonderful to do with your beads! I so wish I were going on that cruise.
Actually, right about now, I so wish I were on any cruise. :)
Have a lovely day! Big hugs xoxo
Yum, sounds delicious! Have a wonderful day, hugs!
I'll have to try that veggie combo. It sounds really tasty and I need something tasty that promises thin. Snow in my part of the world this morning so a cruise to a warm climate sounds good.
We've gotten into roasting vegetables as well. Yum!
We don't do them for an hour though..sounds like a long time.
We have a handicapped accessible bathroom so I know whereof you speak.
Have a peaceful Saturday. Ours is snow-filled...and it is still coming down this morning. Oh well, it's January.
TGIS! It was a long week and now I would like the weekend to slow down! Have a good one!
That sounds like a great idea to auction off the beads for charity. We're getting out this weekend! Yippee! We get to explore our new city!
Good morning smaller Bee. I'm so happy for you. Now I have to start changing, but after my cruise.Ha,ha,ha.
I'm like Charlie, I love my walk in shower. It's big and I could dance if I want.
The day is the day to really get serious about cruising, I get all the necessary materials about my cruise. O boy, O boy now I get that wild feeling.
See you later my lovely and thin friend.
Paul
Bee you are such a sweetheart and helped to get others to start chiming in with donations. I wish you and Sarge were going to be on this cruise with us, but I will do my best to take lots of pictures to share.
Hugs,
Bobbi
Those veggies sound yummy, Bee!
Hope that the bar helps Sarge is getting in and out of the shower easier.
((Hugs to you both.))
Love
Love me some good veggies! And unloading, um, donating excess stuff! And getting handicapped bars. They should be in every bathroom. Srsly.
Have a great day. Big hugs, honey...
No post title today? I got confused for a moment there!
The roasted veggies do sound quite good; I have a friend who does roast carrots and they are so much better than regular old cooked carrots! I'll have to start trying to roast a few veggies and see if I can get the girls to eat more. Jamie will eat pretty much any vegetables but Amanda is a bit pickier.
I thought of you when Jamie and I were up in Boston on Wednesday as I was thinking "This is where Prince Spaghetti Day started and Miss Bee always reminds us that it's Prince Spaghetti Day!" Unfortunately we didn't get over to the North End though as it was WAY too cold and windy to walk over there and back and I was too cheap to take a taxi! Maybe next visit we'll get to Anthony's neighborhood!
Hope you're having a lovely day in Paradise, we're dealing with a lot of snow coming down today. And I was SO enjoying a snowless winter too! Rats!
You are so resourcefull! Love it! One of my fave charities, too.
Enjoy your Saturday and get some rest :)
Just got back from Baby Shower and secret On Location place. It's great to sit down & relax :)
Roasting any vegetables seems to be the best. Must try your dish.
I make a similar dish... when the kids where small I was making dinner and found I only had two potatoes for five people, so I sliced the potato, tomato and onion. I fanned them out, layered them on the pan, drizzled oil, salt and pepper roasted them in the oven. Came out so good.
My daughter still talks about when I made this dish, I never knew she loved it that much. For me it was a "use up" dish. But I loved it too.
cheers, parsnip
After my dad had back surgery, we had someone come in, take our tub out and replace it with a walk in shower with a bench and bars for my dad. It's nice, but I do miss having a tub now!
