Sunday stuff...

This is where I am (in my head).  Gosh a cruise sounds lovely right about now.  No appointments, no nothing, just cruise stuff.  It won't be long until the bloggers cruise and I know as soon as they leave I'll be so sorry I didn't go this year.  Flying is absolutely out for us right now though.  Sarge is just not strong enough to do anything near like that now.

So the guy came yesterday to do the safety bar in the bathroom and is coming back today to paint the wall where he had to cut the drywall to get the bar anchored good.  There is no way it will not hold Sarge.

Someone asked me why I roasted the veggies for an hour yesterday, they were soft sooner.  I did it because I like them to brown and the onions got like fried onions and it was just wonderful.  I'll make that again soon I know.  Anyway the potatoes browned like they were fried crisp.  And very low weight watcher points too.

Sarge wants Spam.  I have to get it at the WalMart today.  I can't stand to even smell the stuff but he loves it so he shall have whatever he wants.  The duck is taking me to the store today after breakfast.  We really enjoy that time with him, it's "our" time and we treasure it.

So here's hoping all yall's day is totally tits.  I know mine will be!

There is nothing like crispy roasted veggies! Think I'll give that recipe a try AB. Wondering about the celery. I roast everything now. Broccoli roasts up nice ... and brussel sprouts do, too! Big weigh in tomorrow night.
Love to Sarge.

Hello, my name is Barb and I have been online cruise shopping.

I'm actually giving serious consideration to taking short cruises out of Jacksonville and paying the double occupancy rate just for some short getaways. I need some down-time every now and then. And what better place than on a cruise?

I did the Sam's Club thing yesterday. I'll be doing the WalMart thing this morning.

Or the cats will have no dry crunchy foods.

And the world will end as we know it.

Enjoy your time with the Duck. Spam. Not so much. Big hugs xoxo

We are looking forward to when we return to the states, one of the first things we shall do is go on a cruise! I am sorry you won't be able to go on the blogging cruise this year, I know you like going. Hope you have a nice time with your son and I hope Sarge gets all his strength back, hugs!

I did not realize that you were missing the bloggers cruise this year - so sad.

Now, if I could just get them to schedule a BC during a period of the month that I could get away, maybe I could actually attend one.

Best to Sarge and Duck

Jon

We will NEVER do a BC, except out of FL since that is where we are during the winter. Duh. Not leaving this sunshine to fly away for any cruise.

Glad Sarge is now all safe with his bathroom bar. No falls allowed!

Say HI to the duck for me. See y'all in February? We leave Thursday for the ORL area for a week or so. You'll read about it.

Big hugs, honey...

Three weeks before my cruise Bee.I bought two pair of slacks to bring on the cruise plus my new suit, tuxedo shirt and black bow tie. I didn't realize it but Mary Lou told me about it, during our cruise it will be Valentine Day. Was she trying to tell me something? I know already.
Let me know about that safety bar. I need to get two of them. One on the wall entering the bathroom and one in the shower. I've been nearly falling going to go to bathroom early in the morning and Mary Lou is worried I might fall and hit my head on the floor.
When will be your next cruise and what ship. I asked Nancy for a book of cruises from Carnival and she said that they to longer make cruise books. You have to get it in the computer. She said what about the older people who aren't really into computers. Carnival is changing things every year. I wish that they would just keep things the same and stop changing everything.
That's it for now my wonderful friend.

Just back from the Carnival Dream and it was a great cruise. John surprised me with a ship on a stick and a plate of wonderful chocolate covered strawberries. He really is the most thoughtful man.

Sorry you will miss the blogger's cruise, but I know Sarge's health comes first. Glad the lung procedure helped his breathing. I really missed reading your blog while we were cruising, but I caught up this morning.

From roasted veggies to spam all in one blog! Hope Sarge is feeling better. See you on words with friends. Hope to beat you in at least one out of ten games!

What is it about guys and spam? I like my veggies roasted longer, too. It allows the sugars to caramelize more.

I'd like to be somewhere warm, too. I love when the veggies get caramelized. Mmmm.

I've never had spam, just thinking of it grosses me out but I guess if you grew up with the stuff it can be pretty comforting when you aren't your best.

My mother used to serve Spam, once in a while. I never bought it.

The safety bar is going to be a great help, I know.

Sorry you're missing the blogger cruise.
