Sunday in paradise...

This is the lake in front of the club.  Well and the club behind it but I took a photo of the lake because it's full of turtles.  They are so cute.  If you walk by there they come to you.  Once I had to babysit a turtle for my boss while he went on vacation.  He had the turtle 20 something years.  I didn't want to do it but could not say no.  Well I'd go over there and feed it every day but it wanted out of it's little box of water with an island.  He wanted loose.  I didn't want to pick him up.  Well the first day I got out of there okay but the next day he flipped over in the water on his back and I thought boy oh boy if I drown this guy I'm up $hit's creek for sure.  I flipped him over with a spatula.  He flipped over again right away.  He was having a temper tantrum.  For real.  Finally I got him out and put him on the floor and he ran over to his mirror and talked to himself in there and then he was fine.  That was all he wanted.  They have such little personalities and I never knew that.

Why did I tell you all this?  I have no idea.  The fish oil kicked in again.

So D#1 was here yesterday and she helped me clean out my closet!!!  We took ten large trash bags to the goodwill, tossed two, and there were two LARGE trash bags filled with clothes that are now too big for me that still had tags on them.  Coldwater Creek clothes.  We hopped in the car and went to the store.  They (gladly) took everything back for a full refund of what I paid.  There was a record of the prices in their system and they paid me.  They have the absolute best return policy of any store in the world.  And their clothes are pretty danged nice too.  I buy them online and on sale.  This is not a paid commercial, just a recommendation of someplace with very good service.

Now if you added all that up we removed 14 large trash bags of clothes.  All nice clean clothes.  I wish she could have stayed.  What a big help.  I never could have done that alone.

Sarge is still doing better.  He is not coughing much at all and still has some trouble breathing, on oxygen all the time, but feel a bit better.  He is having some problems swallowing though.  I hope it's only from the scope but not sure yet.

Today we are having breakfast with the duck.  Sarge loves to go to breakfast.  I never saw a man that liked eggs better than him.

And so my friends, and the one who is not, that's our world for today.  Hope yours is lovely.  Ours is.

I love turtles! I had one when I was very young, it was pretty big too! Here in Japan they sell all the tiny nickel sized ones, they are cute too. WOW, thats a lot of clothes! I don't think I own anything next to that, although if I cruised several times a year I might invest way more money into clothes,lol. Hugs!

Turtles have personalities? Who knew?!

I have cleaned out my closet and dressers at least 3 times in the last 6 years since moving up from Florida and I still need to cull more. But mine have all been worn. No refunds for me!

Sorry D#1 came and left so quickly. I know how much you enjoy being together. Hope you and Sarge enjoy feeling good, eggs and the duck today. Big hugs xoxo

Cleaning out feels good! I am going to attack my closet starting tomorrow while I am in the mood. And anything I have not worn in the past year will immediately be taken off the racks. Then I will weed through the remaining. I wish I could find some things that still have tags. It is great you were able to take those clothes back. Can D#1 swing by my house in GA on her way home.....

I am glad Sarge isn't coughing as much and that you have some fun planned for tomorrow.

Love Coldwater Creek! We finally got a store here, which is great. If I could only buy clothes at one place that would be the one.
Turtles are fascinating little creatures - except those of the snapper variety. They're just downright mean.
Glad to hear you're losing weight, but let me tell you, it's finding me!
Hoping and praying that your Sarge gets the wind back in his sails. You, too,,,
~~~Blessings~~~
I will have to remember when I have a problem to run to my mirror and talk to myself, then I will be all better. Smart turtles :-)
Dick is coughing. And sneezing. Maybe I should take him a mirror?
Big hugs, honey...
I had a box turtle and a paint turtle, both turtles that my Mom saved from getting hit by traffic. Both were then let go near a creek where my aunt uses to live.
How you doin Bee. I'm starting to start like Wendy Williams on TV.
Mary Lou wants to go through our large closet but not until all of us are feeling good. Can you believe it.All three of us are sick at the same time. I thought I was better but I just can't shake this thing.
I hope that Charlie is doing better. WHat did you think about the Costa mess in Italy? Somebody didn't do their job. My son - in - law called and told us not to go on our cruise. Isn't that so nice of him. WE ARE STILL GOING ON OUR CRUISE.
Well I guess I'll see you later.
I love that turtle story! It's wonderful. I had no idea they had personalities like that.
It's hard to muster the energy to cull the closet, but it feels so good when you finally get down to business. I like Coldwater Creek, too.
Hi! it has been a while since I've been out and about, wow, I've missed lots. You and yours have been on my mind a lot even though I haven't been reading up at all, golly, guess I know why now. What brave souls you all are and I pray that Sarge is all better soon.
How exciting to be able to return all those clothes, mostly because you've shrunk! But also 'cuz it's always nice to get money back. I love going into Cold Water Creek. They used to only have a store up in the big city, but then they put a small one down in a small city west of here and then.... a nice sized store in at the Mall of my youth. But I'm avoiding clothes shoping until next fall. I'm going to try and see if I can actually wear out all my clothes - personal goal this year.
Hey, hang in there!
I never would have thought turtles have personalities. How cool! I loved that story too!
Congrats on the closet cleaning. I should do that myself - although it really wouldn't take long. My wardrobe is rather limited.
Hope you and Sarge and the duck had a great time at breakfast. I imagine it's nice and warm there. We are freezing here today!
I know nothing about turtles. I do know that all critters want to be loved. It's just something that happens to all of us.
I'm glad that Sarge is feeling better, but I want him to be 100%. Just saying.
Wow on all those clothes. I'm glad you had all that help from your daughter. Way cool on the refund too.
Enjoy your day and your breakfast. Big hugs to you both. :)
Fourteen huge trashbags - oh my, you must have a fabulous large closet!!!
That is wonderful Coldwater Creek took them back for full price.
I like their clothes too.
Happy Breakfast, and hugs to you and Sarge, dear Bee.
Good luck with the Doc's visit.
Hey, Bee, you look just as beautiful without makeup as with makeup. Makes no difference!!
OK, turtle story. My sister, while in Junior High, did a science project with two turtles and two bells jars. With the help of her teacher, they created the atmosphere of Mars and one jar, put a turtle in and capped it off. The other jar stayed opened to Earth's atmosphere, with a turtle in it. After I don't remember how long, the turtle on earth died. Her conclusion....life cannot exist on earth but it can on Mars.
Go figure.
That was a lot of clothes!!! And very cool that the store let you return them. Makes me want to make sure I leave tags on until I absolutely wear something.
