Tuesday stuff...

I put this photo of Dr. Green up since so many of y'all think he's cute. Today we have two doctor appointments, one at cardiology and one at radiology. Two biggies. Then tomorrow another appointment with the guy that might fix Sarge's back. I sure will be glad when all the holidays are over and my girls are back to play cards and MahJong. Doing nothing but doctor appointments is getting to me. And I am hoping when Sarge gets his back taken care of that maybe he'll feel like playing poker again. I loved those Tuesday nights. We'd have a nice dinner at the club and then go upstairs to the poker room.

I think I am just "holiday-ed out". We need some normalcy back in our lives. Does anyone else feel this way? It goes from Thanksgiving to New Year's Day straight through, the rich food, the disruption of "life" for holidays that have become just so commercialized. I know, I am "bah humbug-ing" out. And JJ told me I was grouchy yesterday! Yikes, she'll have a field day with me today! Sorry.

Okay, I'm done now. Ready to start a diet and not do any more party stuff. Anyone else? Have a lovely Tuesday. I know I will.

Yep, I'm done worn out myself and ready to get winter done and over with so we can move back to some sunshine and reasonable temperatures!

I think the reason we all get so tired of the holidays now is because they go on for so long while the retailers try to wring every penny possible out of consumers. I know they have to make a living but still ... Christmas is so much more than getting gifts and the bottom line at WalMart. I sure do miss the Christmases of my youth.

Hope all goes well at the doctors today and that Sarge will soon be able to start going to poker again; I'm sure he really misses it, too. Normalcy would be nice, wouldn't it??

I'm with Linda. Christmas was about family - waiting for the grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins to come. I became the "matriarch" of our family in '92. I don't have the same touch that my mom had. With the kids scattered about and all the older relatives gone, it will never be the same.

I sure hope Sarge gets back to his poker games. That will really make him perk up!

What with all of the things that are going on in your life, both good and not so very good, no wonder you might feel crankey. You're worn out! You can get worn out on fun, too!. Maybe it's time for a..gasp...rest! Our sainted granny always said that you can't take care of everything unless you take care of yourself.

I will be glad when things get back to normal again, too. I like routines!

It sure is chilly today!

Normal is good. But I am afraid normal for Hubby and I will change very much in a few short weeks. I can't even tell you the last time I felt normal, or even felt good. I am sooooo ready for Baby girl to arrive. New normal is good, anything has to be better than this constant pain and discomfort.

Add me to the list of your readers who think Dr. Green is cute.

I love the time between Christmas Eve and New Year's Day.
I see Thanksgving as separate, I suppose. I don't start my Christmas decorating the day after Thanksgiving. I ease into it in mid-December..like my shopping and wrapping and such.

I hope all goes well with Sarge's appointments today.

Thanksgiving? Heck, the retailers begin putting out Christmas decorations before Halloween, it seems - can we possibly make the holiday season year round? :(

I hope Sarge is able to get his back taken care of - my Dad had a similar problem and I know how painful it was for him. I can't imagine anyone but the chipper poker player from the transatlantic, so I wish him well - and soon.

Who you grouchy Bee? I can't believe it. Yes I'll agree with you. I'm tired of all this holiday stuff. I just want to go on my cruise and rest. I hope Charlie can get back to a normal state of life and that would allow you to relax also. Well I have to go now. I have this guy coming in from eco-energy to once again check the air and heating in my home. I changed a few things and next is to have the government giving me some money. We'll see.

My holidays are already over. The day after Christmas we took everything down and put it away for another year. We don't do New Years so that doesn't matter. Once Christmas is over it's time for spring in my view of the world.

As for diet. I've been on one since we returned from the bay cruise. I'm down 10 pounds so far. Another 10 to go. So, I passed all the candy and other goodies this year. It wasn't easy either.

Have a terrific day honey. Big hug. :)

I'm not sure what "normal" is either.

I don't have kids so I really don't have a stressful holday season. although with my personality I doubt very much I'd have any stress even if I did have kids. I like things quiet and relaxing all the time.

Oh, and I am definitely starting my "sensible eating plan" January 1st. That sounds SO much better than diet, doesn't it? In the last 7 years I put all my weight on and I've decided I'm sick of it and will spend the better part of 2010 making up for that!

Big Hugs ♥xo
