We had a nice time with Chuck yesterday. He now has nine months clean and sober. All in a row, nights and weekends too. Yup, nine months today. I could not be happier about it either.Boy howdy it's been windy up here on the nineteenth floor! We even mostly closed the storm shutters so the windows wouldn't get so full of salt slime. If you have ever lived near the ocean you know what I mean about that! I seriously don't know how people that live oceanfront can ever open their windows because everything in their house would be covered in salt slime. It's bad enough where we live. At least it's warm and sunny and low humidity.
Don't think I took enough fish oil today because I don't know anything else. Well except that Flat Jeter sure had fun yesterday with Chuck. He got to ride in the cart at the WalMart and he was laffin' and laffin'! They looked in the fish counter too and Chuck bought some salmon and some scallops. Flat Jeter said he never tasted scallops before but he thought he'd like them real good. He thought he'd get the fish guy to give him one to try but it didn't work. I guess they don't do that at the WalMart.
Hope y'all have a great Sunday. I know I will!

15 notes:
I think all the laffin' and laffin' is a good thing that lightens the mood and makes us all feel better!
Ciao cara Bee!
I can only image!!!
Here is only land, and umidity and fog!
It's raining, all grey and sad!!!
Glad your saturday was so nice, and hugs for Chuck, that follows you, and he is sober and responsable!
Blessing!!!
Buona domenica!!!
Bless Chuck's heart! I'm glad he's so helpful... I agree, all that laffin' is paying off huge dividends for everyone. Way to go, FJ!
I grew up about 20 miles from the beach, and I have always loved to sleep with the windows open. I hate feeling shut in. But there's something about waking up in the morning with damp bedclothes. Although, I will admit, sometimes in the middle of July, here in Dustyville, with zero humidity, I wouldn't mind it!
Have a blessed Sunday!
I grew up right across the street from the ocean and I don't remember salt slime... I was not
the homeowner though so I'll have to ask my parents about that!
Yay Chuck! Woo Hoo!
Have a lovely day. Big hugs xo
Flat Jeter -
Scallops are wonderful sauteed in butter with some italian bread crumbs to soak up the water/butter mixture.
Just don't over cook them as they become very tough.
Round Jon
All this wind is making me feel a little bit ruffled up.
Great news about Chuck!
I'd love to live near the ocean. :)
Reiki blessings to you and Sarge. x
I never lived by the ocean (although I would love to), but I know what you mean by the salt slime. The seas were pretty rough while on Dream around Barcelona and Monaco so we had that happening on our balcony on 8th floor. Yuck! It turned into shinny salt crystals the next day - that was cool :o)
Hurray for Chuck!
That is something to celebrate Miss Bee. Great news for Chuck
Woohoo for Chuck! Tell him that your peeps are proud of him. Not much going on here in Mayberry either. It is sunny and cool. Very nice. Big hugs...
I am on a roll, another good day.
maybe Sarge can make Flat Jeter some flat scallops on the printer. har har har
I've very happy for Chuck honey. That is indeed excellent news.
I didn't know about salt slime either. I know our boat gets salty when we go to the bay, but no slime.
Have a terrific day too honey. Big hug to you and Sarge. :)
Ciao carissimi!
I hope you are passing a good Sunday!
Buona notte a tutti!!!
Hugs!
That's great news about Chuck.
