No, really, I found it!

Boy howdy it is still windy. I am about to lose my ever loving mind. Even the shutters are rattling now. Plus I don't know how many of you have ever lived in a highrise but let me tell you a little secret. They sway. They are supposed to sway. It's how they manage hurricanes and stuff. But day after day after day it is unsettling. Really unsettling. I think I need more fish oil.

This week I have lots of activities though and that will get me out a bit. Sarge is starting his sleepy period so he'll nap in the afternoons. I have Canasta today, MahJong on Wednesday and Friday. How about that? I am really looking forward to it too.

For Irene: I call them flat cats because they are photographs of real cats. I don't have a real cat, I live in a "no pet" building. People that have real cats send me photos of their cats and I make them my pets! And they are spoiled rotten!

Have a great Tuesday, I know I will!

All this shaking courtesy of TS Ida? Don't think I'd like the swaying much either...
I get the "Donkey of the Year" award. I got a notice on FB that it was Sarge's birthday tomorrow, so I got a card in the mail. Ha, ha...when I saw it today, I realized it is Chuck's b-day tomorrow!!! Please tell Sarge he's not hallucinating!!! And, tell Chuck happy birthday for me...Duh. Talk about fish oil.
Mine's not working.
~~~Blessings~~~
Perhaps you could pretend all that swaying is as of the result of actually being on a cruise ship and not in a high rise?? Not that cruise ships probably sway these days, though, do they? Well, it was a thought!
Have fun at Canasta today; hopefully that will get your mind off of all the wind. Oh, and tell Flat Jeter that he needs to find a dog to help him bury that thing!
Flat Jeter is having lots of fun when I visit doctors, he thought those toes were just "tits".
Good Luck at Canasta.
I agree and think Flat Jeter needs a flat dog. My 95lbs fur ball agrees too. Nothing keeps your feet warmer in the winter than a nice big dog! :)
We've started to get the wind rain from Ida, although it's stopped for the moment. This morning they said she's slowed down so we'll get at least twice as much rain as initially predicted. Oh joy. Well, maybe that will be good for the winter rye grass seed that Mike just put out for me!
Have fun at Canasta!
Big Hugs ♥xo
I don't think I'd much like the idea of a swaying building at all! Hope it calms down for you soon! Boy are you a busy gal this week, I need a nap just from your list! No energy these days!
A previous poster had the right idea! It's not high rise sway, its the feel of a beautiful cruise ship on azure seas!
Love to you both.
Hang on, Bee! Don't let that swaying get to you. Have fun, honey. Big hugs from rainy Mayberry...
Good morning Bee. Doesn't the swaying make you sleep easier? I feel a little bit better and I'm going to make a torte cake. I've never made one before so pray for me. Sleep will help Charlie get better.See you later.
Wow swaying sounds scary but just pretend you're on a cruise!
Some buildings sway more than others. I've heard tell that the upper floors of the Sears Tower (now the "Willis" Tower) are like a ship at sea during a stiff breeze.
Which reminds me... why does the swaying bother you on land with your record of cruising? Maybe the ship sways less?
Thorny Rose said...
But, Bee, all you have to do is pretend that swaying is rocking - yes, just like a ship at sea - then it shouldn't be unsettling at all!!
I'm hoping that the wind stops very soon. I wouldn't like that either.
You have fun on your outings. I'm glad you are taking some time for you. It's very much needed I'd say.
Have terrific day honey. Big hug to you and Sarge. :)
We lived on the 6th floor of a tower block and I can confirm that they definitely do sway!
I'm still sending the good stuff. x
That's a lot of swaying. I hope the wind subsides soon. We don't want you to lose your mind!
Have fun as you get out and play Canasta and MahJong this week. ;-)
You need to have some time just for you.
Gee, I would have to stick a couple of ScopDerm Patches behind my ears if my home were swinging and swaying like Sammy Kaye et al.
Sorry I have been missing on the comments. We left for Ft. Myers on Halloween night and wrecked our car four hours later. A rutting deer had fallen in love with our Taurus X and jumped the divider on I-75 to get in touch. We were able to continue on our way, minus lots of parts, but not critical engine parts. It is over $8,000. for the facelift now. After that, we had to spend five days fighting with our ISP and I finally am able to peruse my favorite bloggers.
We have not forgotten to pray for your cutie and are hoping that he is able to cruise with you soon. Wish we could go, too.
It should be over in a couple of days. At least that's what they say about it up here. So do not go on a balcony yet ;o)
When I lived in Chicago I used to work in a very tall building that swayed. It sure was strange.
Now about Flat Jeter...I still think you should enter a photo of him in the shiny coat contest at the Generation Natural Pet page on facebook. it would be fun Bee!
