Monday in paradise...

Well here it is Monday again. #1d went home last night and she never did get the chicken and dumplings made, we said next time would be fine. We have lots of stuff to eat anyhow. She got Sarge on the upswing and he is doing nicely. Thanks to y'all kind words and prayers for sure too. I know they all help.

I started working a bit with the beads that Lois sent me. I made some really pretty earrings. I want to do something nice with some pearls in there next but playing with them deciding what to do. I also have some in my old (shoebox) and can add those to the mix and see what I come up with. Oh wait, that's a preposition, what I come up with y'all. There.

So did anyone see that new show called "White Collar"? I really liked it. It comes on after Monk and I like that one too. We all watched it and liked it. And soon The Real Housewives of Orange County will be starting up again and I love that one. The Atlanta ones are almost over, thank goodness. If I have to look at that dreadful Nene much longer I'll lose my dinner. And no, before you ask, I cannot NOT watch it. I wish I could.

Does anyone have any plans for the week or are y'all working? We have two dr. appointments and I have two games this week and that's about it, well, so far anyhow. Don't think Sarge will be up to playing poker yet but who knows? He might recover enough by then, we'll see how he does.

Guess that's it from paradise. Hope your day is tits, I know mine will be.

So, things are looking up again! That's super news - hope your week goes smoothly. We're gonna head up north, hopefully, in search of fall color, which is hard to come by. I even borrowed a good camera. Smiles...

The weekend was was actually warm in the North. Lots of raking happened on our street. Our streets are being repaved and we can't wait the potholes are huge. Glad D1 was around for your weekend. That Target sounds nice.

My D1 has a dr's appointment today for her asthma check up. Then we have parent teacher conferences tonight at her school. Busy day ahead!

It's good to hear that Sarge is on the upswing and didn't have to be hospitalized this time. It's going to be just another week of work for me. I have a countdown clock counting the days till retirement (251). I probably started the countdown too early, that seems like a long time. Oh well! Have a great sunny week in Florida.

Have fun with the beads... I'm so glad they are in a loving home!

We're heading out today. Gonna park and "camp" at the kids' farm. Then we're going to get hubby ready for his hand surgery (11/3).

Give sarge a squeeze and save a hug for yourself. Seriously, if you need me to come cook or run errands, just let me know. I don't mind.

Happy to read Sarge is on the upswing..

I hope you guys have a wonderful Monday. The beading sounds like fun.

I'm going to do a story about a Greek Orthodox church that is taking its century-old bell down from its belfry. The church is merging with a bigger one in a nearby town.

I love writing stories about local history. It's always interesting..

SOOO glad it's the "upswing" now and no hospitals this time! Halfway through is good, too! This week I'm working (no surprise) and watching the leaves turn color and fall off the trees. Have a great week. Hugs to both of you!

My mother had leftover chicken dinner and for the first time ever, I didn't feel like eating it. I don't know what's up with that!

So glad Sarge got through this round without winding up in the hospital! Best news I've had this week!

Big Hugs ♥xo

I'm glad Sarge is feeling better honey. At least no hospital this go around. I'm very happy about that.

Next weekend we are going to the boat to hide from the 100s and 100s of kids that get bused to our neighborhood. A nice quiet weekend.

You have a terrific day and week honey. Just rest and eat cake. Big hugs to you both. :)

Yes, I liked "White Collar"... I also liked that same actor when he was on "Chuck", and a couple of years ago on a show called "Traveller". I think that show will be a good replacement for "Monk" (which is in its final season).

I think what bugs me most about the Housewives show is they are so full of their own self-importance. Why in the world do they need a publicist and a stylist and a hairdresser? Oh brother!

Good to hear Sarge is on the up!

I have the week off work this week for half term and it's MWM's birthday today so I made him a huge cream sponge cake with icing. Tomorrow we are going to Manchester to do a little shopping, have dinner and then we are going to see Fleetwood Mac at the MEN Area! I'm excited! :)

Oh in my excitement I forgot to say I'm still sending lots of Reiki. :)

Glad Charles isn't going to the hospital this time!! Things surely are looking up!!

As for me, this week will be fairly busy - I work at the Nat'l, Aqurium tomorrow, and face all those middle school kids!!! Wed. will find me at the Baltimore Art Museum to see some of the artworks we've been studying. Thursday finds Diane & I traveling to Phila. to see the Princess Diana exhibit - 28 outfits and her wedding gown, tiara, veil, etc. etc. We will have lunch at the "Moshulu", the world's oldest & largest 4-masted tall ship docked at Penn's landing. It should be a fairly good week.

Your beading sounds like fun. I'll have to try it sometime. MY LUV to all. AJ

Work for me mostly though I do have a day off tomorrow and am hoping to maybe get some leaves raked - yeeha! Of course, it's supposed to rain again so I may or may not get that done as planned.

Glad to hear that Sarge is on the upswing; thank the good Lord he didn't end up in the hospital again this time!

Hope you have a lovely Monday, ya'll!
