Sunday in Florida...

It has just been beautiful here. Perfect weather, warm, balmy breezes, bright sunshine. It's a grand week to get ready for the cruise. I don't know what I did to lead such a charmed life but I sure am enjoying it.

And then... Sarge discovered football on his new tv in HD. First he watched the Army team lose to the Navy team. Then he watched the Florida and Alabama guys. He was excited about this one for some reason. My eyes glazed over and I had a nap. I don't know who won this one because, well, I guess I didn't care enough to look. He wanted Florida to win. Princess Elaine did too I am sure. *Update: Florida won*

So then I had to find something to do. I looked at blogs for awhile. I got some laundry done. I packed a little more. I even ironed a little. I was bored out of my mind. So, well, I had another nap. I started to just lay down and see what else was on the tv in the bedroom but soon I was a goner. I was trying to watch some show about decorating your kitchen for Christmas. Now when I decide to actually DO this, call the white coats cause I am over the edge. They were even hanging ornaments on the walls over the sink. And the kitchen had it's OWN tree! Really? That's when I dozed off.

So how was your Saturday?

Presently grieving the loss of Alabama to Florida...so sad:(

I feel the same way you do about decorating the kitchen and bathroom. I mean come on...it comes back down in a few weeks!

Ciao Bee,
Buona domenica!
Il mio sabato è stato molto pieno ed eccitante!
Ho partecipato all'inaugurazione di una Mostra internazionale di Arte Naive...molto interessante!
Qui è molto freddo, tutto grigio e gelato!
Ogggi vado al mercato a cercare stuff per il Natale!!

Buona domenica a te e a Sarge e a tutti i tuoi amici!
Un abbraccio!

T'thankfully MWM isn't a sports fanatic so I'm not subjected to sport on television - well apart from Formula 1 but I don't mind that!

Decorating the kitchen? Couldn't that be a potential fire hazard???

you know how my Saturday went..... work! But afterwards, Anita and I headed to PA barbque and helped celebrete their 20 year aniversary. They had 1988 prices!! the place was jammed ! but the food was good as always. Today is the last day, if you are interested, and the price cut is good for takeout too! (9.99 for a full slab of babybacks with sides)

I for one only put up a small tree that lights up, no need to decorate it, just didn't feel like putting all my inside decorations up this year! Mike did very little decorating outside, icycle lights, wreath and a blow up penguin and that is it! My neighbors must be wondering when he is going to finish, because all these years our house looked like a winter wonderland, lights and decorations everywhere, but we are getting too old to do all that. I have to wrap presents for the grandkids today, and we will stop at Sears after breakfast out, to look at Sony DVD cam's as Mike wants a new one for Christmas, the one he has is the old version with tapes. I really don't need anything, and it is funny because I always tell Mike NOT to buy me a home appliance for a holiday but what I want is one of those floor cleaners for wood and tile floors, I hate scrubbing them, especially the tile, so we will check them out too while we are out. Hope your day is the tits Miss Bee!

Good morning my lovely friend. This mnorning the sun is bright and shining but very, very cold, below 20 degress at the moment. Yesterday my wife and I went to Costco and spent far to much money but it'll keep. I watched the Florida game while I was playing pool. Since Marylou said we could have a pool table, I've been playing on it quite a bit. Guess whaty? I'm still not that good yetLOL. Well have a good Sunday and WOW, getting ready on another cruise. You my friend do have a charmed life but you and Sarge probably deserve it. Go for it and I'm really ready to go on mine which means also yours. Ciao Bee.

Are we going to have to fight for the Nap Queen title??? LOL... Nothing better than at least 1 nap per day to clear the head... I will, however, decorate my tree today... and wrap the gifts that have to be mailed back East for the grand kids

Mom doesn't want Grampy dragging her heavy tree down from the attic this year and doesn't want him climbing ladders again to put lights on the house. So... Mom hung a fresh wreath out front and put a fresh garland on the front porch banister. Nana put up her little tree. We're done.

Well, for my own selfish reasons I wanted Florida to win too. Now it's possibly Oklahoma and Florida for the ultimate showdown. Of course, I would have been happier with my Okla State playing Florida but that's for the future. The cruise, as usual, sounds like it's going to be fun. enjoy.

My darlin' husband watched so much football yeaterday, that he actually got tired of it! The biggie was watching Missouri vs. Oklahoma, because Gary Pinkle used to be the coach of U, of Toledo and went to our church. However, Oklahoma made mincemeat of Missouri and hubby was throwing things at the TV by the end. I should have napped!

Oh noes, you are now an HD TV widow. It used to be football widows. Now its anything worth watching on tv widows.

Sok, I am a garage widow it seems at times. But we love them, and we endure. Right?

Glad you had a great day.

I'm glad Sarge is enjoying his new toy. That was a great gift.

We just went to the boat this weekend. We had our change of watch for our club and I've moved from port captain to rear commodore. Then on Saturday night we watched the lighted boat parade and then a bunch of us had drinks and dinner together. It was a great weekend.

Have fun packing for the next cruise. Big hug to you and Sarge. :)

I did have a small ornament tree on the kitchen counter last year. It's pretty colorful. I may take it out again.

We went to a party Saturday, then had a holiday potluck at church today, and we just came home from another holiday party we were invited to that was run by a support group for parents of autistic children.

Doing lots of eating these days. It's back to work tomorrow. I am going to a program marking the 67th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor.

Oh well, there was a time when I was more certifiably Christmas crazed than I am now. I had lights over the sink, a small tree on the counter. And then there was the year when hubby decided to duke it out with the old lady across the street and see if he could "out light" her. (She hires people in). Our house was positively EMBARRASSING. I think we were the poster family for wasteful energy users that year.

But it's simpler now. I've gotten rid of a lot of stuff!

Shelby had a birthday party to go to, so that took up a big part of our day. Then we just laid around watching movies last night. Pretty low-key weekend, all in all.
